Victor's lesson on love
“Generalized terminal cancer”, the most gut-wrenching words from a veterinarian anyone could ever hear.
This is exactly what happened to Victor, or known as Trésor, in the book Intuitive Animal Connections. It was a shock for owner, Geneviève Bouchard, who normally saw Victor as so energetic and happy, even up to the day of his dire diagnosis. She was surprised to see him so sleepy and dizzy and rushed him to the veterinarian clinic only to hear the devastating news. Victor's owner writes, “He passed away in peace, with full of love, his paw on my hand.”
I was gifted with meeting Victor for the first time in March 2012. He was given up, for unknown reasons at the local shelter and was destined to be euthanized if a foster family, like myself, could not quickly come to the rescue. I instantly loved him and his very easy temperament. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute with him until I found his perfect family in July 2012.
He spent 3 loving years with Geneviève and quietly passed away on September 27, 2015. I remember September 27 so clearly as it was a rare total lunar eclipse. The combination of a full moon, harvest moon, super moon, and total eclipse has only happened 5 times since 1900, so it was quite rare to say the least.
From the bog, The Astrology of the Blood Moon Eclipse September 2015, the author Tanaaz writes, “This Eclipse is really about learning how to open your heart and to move into a place where you can be free to receive and give love. Opening your heart to this energy is also going to allow you to really receive the new vibrations, frequencies and downloads that are going to be on offer. All of us are going to come into more intuitive and psychic knowing about our lives as long as our heart is open and free.”
This is precisely what Victor was here to teach us and the title of my chapter on him was “Trésor ̶ who taught me how to open my heart.”
